Aspirating Fire & Smoke Detection Systems
Aspirating smoke detector systems are used in active fire protection, consisting of a central detection unit that draws air through a network of pipes to detect smoke.
Aspirating smoke detectors can detect smoke before it is visible to the naked eye. This is an excellent form of fire protection as normal point detectors will recognise the danger too late, as smoke often does not reach the ceiling quickly enough for a fire to be detected in a timely fashion.
